PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
- Expandable shafts operate thanks to a pneumatic system that ensures proper reel clamping.
- Spare parts are grouped into four main families, each made up of one or more components.
- Materials are selected to maximize the durability of the shaft, although continuous use causes progressive wear of some parts.
The four families that make up the pneumatic system are:
Air chamber assembly: Consists of the chamber, the protector, and the air connection. These elements store the compressed air needed for expansion.
Clamping jaws: A set of parts that ensure the air-tight seal of the chambers.
Expanding linston: The element that transfers the chamber expansion and makes contact with the inside of the reel.
Valve:Controls air intake and release, ensuring proper system pressure.
This spare part structure is designed to make component replacement as simple as possible.
AIR CHAMBER ASSEMBLY
Air chamber, PAR-CAM-015
The chambers are made of polyurethane and offer excellent durability and wear resistance, allowing inflation and deflation cycles for many years. Our chambers are available in rolls (by the meter), including the polyester protector. We also supply them in custom-sized units (strips) for your pneumatic shaft; in this case, the set includes the chamber, the protector, and the air connection.

Polyester is a protective film used to prevent damage to the chamber caused by external factors.
Air chamber connection, PAR-ACN-001
The airflow from the outside into the chambers during inflation and deflation is achieved through the connectors, which are brass fittings that connect the circuit from the valve to the inside of the chambers. This component is included with the chambers.
Clamping jaws
PAR-CLP-100
Sealing components for closing the ends of the chambers of the expandable shaft. Designed to ensure a perfect seal. Available in aluminum.
Sold as a set. Each set includes:

Expanding Strips
The expanding strip is the contact element that provides grip inside the reel, designed in different geometries and materials depending on the goal to be achieved in each case.
Materials
Rubber offers a high coefficient of friction, ensuring a firm and secure grip. It is the best option when it comes to grip safety.
It offers great durability and does not deform over its service life, with a slightly lower coefficient of friction than rubber.
This expander has long durability and does not deform over its service life. The knurled finish provides additional grip on cardboard cores.
Type
The linear expansion strip is a single-piece component that extends along the entire groove or channel of the shaft.
The segmented expansion strip is installed as individual pieces in each shaft groove. This system allows adaptation to the inner core of the reel to absorb imperfections and provide extra grip.

Valves
Valve 1/8G, PAR-VAL-G18
A highly reliable non-return valve made of brass. The thread is 1/8G.
Valve M8, PAR-VAL-M18
A highly reliable non-return valve made of brass. The M8 thread allows installation in confined spaces.
Rotary fitting 1/8G, PAR-RVA-G18
Rotary inflation connection. For applications where air supply is continuous, it connects and disconnects via a solenoid valve. The thread is 1/8G for 6 mm diameter tube (06).
Accessories for expanding shafts
In addition to the main spare parts, expandable shafts can be complemented with accessories designed to maximise performance and simplify the operator’s daily work.
The two main accessories are:
Reel positioning stop: Allows you to set the stop point for the reel in the correct position, ensuring quick and precise placement.
Pistola de aire para inflado: A tool designed to facilitate the inflation of expanding shafts, ensuring a fast and safe process

Reel stop for pneumatic shaft
The reel stops are fixed to the shaft body using an adjustment handle. They establish the limit for positioning the reels. They can be for shafts with various body diameters or other custom sizes.
The standard material is Nylon, although we also supply them in anodized aluminum.
The standard diameters are as follows:
Inflation gun without pressure gauge

Specially designed gun for inflating expanding shafts. Thanks to its rubber conical nozzle adapted to the valves, it prevents air leakage during inflation and protects the valve from potential damage..
The pneumatic hose inlet is located at the bottom of the handle, with a 1/4 GAS thread. Optionally supplied with a 06 spiral hose for complete installation.
At the top, it has a hole to hang the gun in an optimal position, keeping it close to the working area and always within the operator’s reach.
