Cross Cutting Systems

Transverse cutting solutions are used to produce sheets from a roll or to make transverse perforations. There are two main systems, classified according to how the material is collected.

Roll to roll

When the process starts with a roll and, after performing all required operations, the material is collected again in one or more rolls. In this case, the material is both fed and delivered in roll format.

Roll to sheet

The material enters the machine in roll format and is collected in sheets after processing. This setup requires a completely different machine configuration, from the cutting system to downstream handling.

High-performance cross cutting system with guillotine

Designed for high-volume cutting, working in fixed or variable lengths. Blades with very high durability. This system is usually combined with conveyor belts for controlled sheet output. Sheets can exit in shingled form (overlapped) on belts, or stacked on a vibrating table or high pile stacker.

Multi-cut system with band knife

Designed for applications requiring different formats and/or perforations. This system offers great flexibility, allowing multiple cuts using the same knife holder roller. Several knives can be installed, enabling full cuts and perforations in combination.

Cross Cutting + Perforation Solutions (Roll to sheet or roll to roll)

Allows several cutting bands to be mounted on the same cylinder, facilitating format changes (cutting length) without servo motors or programming.
Also allows for perforation and full cuts, or a combination of both in the same setup.
